Lumen Field Services
A concept quoting, scheduling and reporting system for a field-services business, designed to replace paperwork and phone tag with one connected workflow.
Challenge
Lumen Field Services had a growing team of technicians, but every quote, job schedule and completion report still moved through phone calls, paper forms and manual spreadsheets. Quoting took days, scheduling clashes were common, and management had no real-time view of jobs in progress — all of which capped how much work the business could safely take on.
Strategy
Rather than digitising the paperwork, we automated the workflow behind it: a guided quoting tool that turns a site visit into a priced proposal in minutes, an AI-assisted scheduling system that matches technicians to jobs by location and skill, and automatic reporting that removes the need for a manual write-up after every visit.
Execution
We built a quoting and scheduling web application, a mobile-friendly job interface for technicians, an AI assistant that drafts job reports from technician notes and photos, and a management dashboard showing job status, technician utilisation and quote conversion in real time.
